 from  the  D.I.Y  market,  as  well  as  the  smaller  contractors
 affectionately call the ‘bakkie brigade’  RAIPLY products cater
 for office, home, school, industrial needs and include church

 pews. Apart from these Raiply supplies treated timbers to the

 construction sector of Malawi and across the borders. Raiply
 Malawi Limited runs an elaborate afforestation programme, to
 ensure a steady supply of raw materials for its factories. This

 includes managing two seedlings nurseries with a total current

 capacity of 1,480,000 seedlings which is equivalent to 1,333 ha
 this meets seedlings demand for Kalungulu, Chikangawa and
 Champhoyo sections of the 20,000ha forestry area managed

 by the company. The sweet news is that this has created

 employment opportunities for people of a variety of skills
 and qualifications from across the country.  The company has
 been in Malawi, with a warehouse branch in Lilongwe and a

 smaller factory unit in Limbe for so many decades and this has

 created a lot of economic opportunities to both medium and
 large scale timber merchant in the country. The best quality
 pine and eucalyptus timber is sustainably sourced from the

 Chikangawa forest.



 This is made possible with a planting plan which came into
 force in 2018, of planting 1000 ha per annum. With this there

 is an assurance of continued utilization, manufacture of

 products to stringent quality standards and custom machined
 products made to order. RAIPLY stocks pine timber in various
 grades as well as laminated beams. The RAIPLY Manufacturing

 division was granted permission to use the Malawi Quality (

 ISO)  assurance of their quality standards. A variety of board
 products such as plywood, chipboard and MDF are stocked in
 a range of sizes. Hardwood timber can be ordered on request,

 but the stock list includes air dried, treated and kiln dried
