Raiply Malawi Limited is proud to be associated with the socio-
economic development of the country. This is the reason why
as an industry we involve ourselves almost in every aspect of

life of the communities that surround us. Two cardinal principles
drive us. We believe in generating forests for future generation.
You see if our forefathers did not plant trees to create the
Viphya Plantations, we would not have this industry.

To this end, management has elaborate strategies ensuring
planted areas increase. We are doing this both inside our forest
area but also in the communities. Thus our seedlings distribution

programme, involve schools, village headmen, churches and
other community places. Our investment in the future does not
end there. It is a grand error to omit education.

As such Raiply Malawi Limited being a leading wood producer
makes quality school desks, which we give a share to surrounding
schools. Creating a conducive learning environment leaves the
learner with no excuse for poor academic performance. We are

also into the provision of health services. This is the reason,
why the factory clinic, which is meant to provide first aid now
operates as a healthy centre and runs twice a week ambulance
services.

Referrals to the district hospital are therefore not just a possibility
but a reality now. We believe that a healthy community is key to
a vibrant business. The provision of clean water in places where

it is not readily available is another area of our focus.

We do this for we know that increasing accessibility of clean
drinking water reduces the burden that women and children

have, thereby contributing towards their well-being. It is
generally accepted that sports is a unifier, bringing together
people from all walks of life together. With changing times,
it has proved that it is a source of employment as well. So in

order to help develop skills, Raiply sponsors various disciplines.
Through football and netball, the company engages primary
schools, while volleyball is done at club level.
