he Bakhresa Group, founded by Mr.
Said Salim Awadh Bakhresa, started its

operations in 1975 with Azam Restaurant
and grew to expand across 15 distinct
T divisions over time Throughout the years,

primarily operating under the Azam brand, we have
expanded our line of business and geographical scope.
Our goal is to actively improve the value chain in the
sectors in which we operate using a vertical integration
approach, allowing us to offer premium goods and services

at affordable prices to consumers, clients, and business
partners across the African continent.

WHAT IS BAKHRESA MALAWI?
Bakhresa Malawi Limited was formed in 2003 to take over
the assets of the former government parastatal, Grain &
Milling Company Ltd (GRAMIL), as part of the Malawian
government’s privatization program.

We are based in Limbe along Charterland Road and have
branches in Lilongwe and Mzuzu to make sure that our

customers are reached across the country at almost their
doorstep. Our reliable delivery is made at almost every
trading center in Malawi.
